TEXT: Obadiah 1:17, Hebrews 12:22, Isaiah 6:3, psalm 127:3, Gen. 26:12, Eph. 5: 6-8

Church service is not a movie and Ministers are not movie directors. When you come to church don’t come ordinarily. Be actively involved in the service to experience the presence of God and receive everything He desires to release on us.

The Lord is here as the spirit of liberty,  we need to know and acknowledge the areas of our lives where we need to be liberated in order to experience the freedom that the Lord has brought.

Zion is not a physical location, it is a spiritual location. You can be a Christian and not be in Mount Zion.

Hebrews 12

 22 No, you have approached Mount Zion and the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and countless angels in festal gathering,

NABRE

Living from a spiritual environment is what we are called to do. We must learn to detach ourselves from the atmosphere, it could mean not listening to the news, staying away from social media and any other means by which your atmosphere is corrupted. This helps to stay sane and minister kindness to people. We should spread joy in this season.

If we view things from an earthly perspective, we won’t be in a better position to help other  people who do not have the hope of Zion. 

Obadiah 1

 17 But on Mount Zion there will be some who escape; the mountain will be holy, And the house of Jacob will take possession of those who dispossessed them.

NABRE

On mount Zion, there will be deliverance, you will possess things. Train yourself to live from Zion for that is where there is victory. You can get solutions for earthly challenges on mount Zion. 

The bible says Saviors’ shall arise in Zion, if you are not in Zion, you cannot be a Saviour to other people because Zion is where Saviours are made. You can only minister the comfort you have experienced. If you have not received the comfort of the Lord, you cannot minister it to other people. 

Where are you functioning from?

When we discern that our light has come, we must walk in the light. We must use this light to navigate our way, walk  as children of light even as he is light.

Ephesians 5

 6  Let no one deceive you with empty arguments, for because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the disobedient.  7 So do not be associated with them.  8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light,  9 for light produces every kind of goodness and righteousness and truth.  10 Try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.  11 Take no part in the fruitless works of darkness; rather expose them,  12 for it is shameful even to mention the things done by them in secret;  13 but everything exposed by the light becomes visible,  14 for everything that becomes visible is light. Therefore, it says: 

“Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”

 15  Watch carefully then how you live, not as foolish persons but as wise,  16 making the most of the opportunity, because the days are evil. 

NABRE

There’s a difference between cultivating in the promised land and cultivating somewhere else, the results are not the same. We can only enjoy harvests in places that God has promised us.

Wisdom and counsel are important especially in times of famine. God has a wisdom that his children must operate during times of famine because there is  a law of exemption for his children in dark times it is the demonstration of God’s commitment to his people. Whenever there’s famine, there’s a need for the wisdom of the Lord.

We need the spirit of wisdom and counsel to know exactly what to do in these times. 

Genesis 26

 12  Isaac sowed a crop in that region and reaped a hundredfold the same year. Since the LORD blessed him, 

Isaac was probably not the best farmer but he sowed and reaped bountifully.

We need the powerful voice of the Lord in our lives. We will see creative miracles in this house as we follow the voice of the Lord in this season.

PRAYERS:

1. Let us ask God for wisdom. There’s a provision of God for us in this season but it is locked up in wisdom and we must cry out for sound counsel and wisdom knowing that this is the path to creativity and witty inventions.
2. We receive wisdom to rule and reign in these times.
3. We receive the wisdom of God to navigate through these times; in our workplaces, businesses, ministries, families, finances.
4. We receive the breath of God. 
5. We receive divine guidance and direction. 
6. In this church we will see the manifold expressions of wisdom.
