Everyday when we wake, we are at war. Life itself is a war; it is a battle. You may or may not be conscious of it but there is war going on.
There is a strong enemy in the universe called the world. You don’t know it until it is revealed to you. A whole lot of things we call normal to us are not normal and then things you call abnormal, are many times the normal. It is only the truth of the Gospel that can excavate the lies.
We can live inside or outside of time. There is something inside of man that gives him the capacity to come out of time. We don’t want to be untouched humans. If the way you execute life is not being radically modified, you are wasting a life time.
Life is measured in time. Some people have no respect for their time or others. Those people are poor people because in the end, time results to life.
When we waste time in the natural we can see it; we know when it is not being utilized. There is an expectation that certain things should have been acquired at a particular time in the natural. If there is a delay in getting to the next level, you can easily see it unlike in the realm of the spirit.
So some people don’t advance to the next level in the spirit because the score sheet doesn’t show immediately. But then you stand before God and He is asking you, “What have you done with your life time?” I pray that we would not waste that time; we would know how to fight the battles…
The narrative of the new testament is that God must have sons. He would reveal Himself inside of sons. His expression is in His son Jesus; for it has pleased the Father that all fullness should dwell in him…
We are sons of God and it is a real thing. We receive grace to take Christianity more serious than we should.
Amos 9:11-12 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:/That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.
The hope of the world is hinged upon the church. God has promised that He would unleash a particular functionality in that day. There is something spiritual that would enter into our times that was not there previously. It would activate a particular type of functionality in the earth and Christianity would be different from how we know it.
And for this, we are not just to enjoy the revs that come with it – we should be building something that defines this.
David is a spiritual technology God is giving us right now.
Isaiah 22:22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
God has been talking to us about giving us the keys of David and we didn’t know much until God took it further and said, “I am bringing David to you – that sense of intelligence in the spirit, that wisdom, that state of heart commitment that set him over Saul.”
David had a kind of heart. Do you have that heart? Let us allow the Word to examine us. Are the things of God more valuable to us than our outward posture. Don’t be deceived, God isn’t mocked. If you’re not David, then you’re not! You can’t fool God.
There is something called David that God want to establish and bless us with.
God used the era of the Old Testament to download patterns and spiritual technologies that have their fulfilment in Christ. He looks at the billions of people in the earth and selected certain individuals, and then uses their lives to hide certain principles.
He works these principles into their lives. He takes the conversations of their lives and so when we touch those people, we are touching things that are activated in heaven. God selects a particular marriage between a man called Boaz and a stranger called Ruth and drives the narrative of that marriage.
These things are not in a man; it is in that whole constitution so much that when a man fails to continue to be who he is, God will look for another. For instance, if you have a Pharaoh, the wisdom of Moses is what handles it. That is why when Moses as a man left the scene, God looked for another man who though his name is Joshua, can be a Moses.
David was just a boy who was totally in love with God and was so jealous over God ( the zeal of the Lord). Do you have that kind of thing? Are there features or markers in your life that says you are a son of David?
We have a church in Nigeria that has over one thousand ministers, and yet some uncircumcised Philistine would speak and everyone is afraid. Where are the David’s ? (1Samuel 17).
There is so much that God has called us to; so much that it takes revelation to see and faith to believe it. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (1 Corinthians 2:9).
John Paul Jackson said, “If it ever passes through your mind, then it is not strange enough.” God would be doing strange things that would blow your mind away so much that even in a thousand years, you would never have thought about it.
Do you know how much God needs to express His life? Do you know His appetite? God is big and He doesn’t do little things. He created the universe not according to your size but according to His size.
The big question is, “Am I David? Do I have those set of attributes that the Lord wants?” If you don’t, be sincere with God. Many of us are not like that. Don’t hide from Him. Rather, come to Him and let Him make you. God wants to meet you at point zero and make you into Himself. Just say yes to God and allow Him change your heart.
The Word of God you receive as revelation becomes a commandment to you. Revelation is actually responsibility.
The scripture says, as we have heard so have we seen – That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (1 John 1:1).
So what we have heard should bring us closer to becoming faithful witnesses. The gap should be closing up until we have become like Jesus. Jesus is all that the Father thinks He is; He doesn’t disappoint the Father.
This is not to put you down but to confront you so that you can be saved. We are being saved. That is the purpose of the church – to strike you in a place where your idol is hiding, and we all have idols.
If a thing is indispensable to you, that you can’t live without it, then it has become a god in your life. If it’s a job, it doesn’t mean quit, it means put that job where it belongs. Adjust your relationship with that thing. It is not your source. God is your source.
There is a very severe burden that I am going to teach out of. When we started talking about the tabernacle of David, I said we have stepped into the era of kings; the realm of Melek. God is pouring out a kingly anointing upon His people and because of that, your life would shift and become something else.
There is a massive evolution of the church as a corporate body. Many people would go into higher places; businesses would explode and it is not going to be just about prosperity but also about government. The city of God through prosperity would be spread abroad. This is God’s determination. It is not about you. This is what He decided from the beginning.
There is your path. There is that vital link, that principal thing that you cannot fail on because God wants to pass through it. You must get it on that. The philosophy, the revelations on it would be different from how he judges other areas of your life. You must find what you have been yoked with.
Psalms 89:27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
There are certain things that the answer is king. David was a king in the firstborn order. David was raised above all his brethren and brought into a firstborn order so that he would be higher than all the kings of the earth.
There are battles that must be fought and won for the Lord. David fought the battles of the Lord and he won. The Lord has enemies and the voice of the accuser needs to be silenced by people who have a kingly anointing.
People are being called and favored. I believe that many of those rich influential people have a selection on their lives because, how come many others who read their book have not become rich? The devil brought an invitation to Jesus when he was just there doing his fasting thing.
Matthew 4:8-9 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
God wants to raise kings! He wants to pour His kingly anointing upon people to fight His battles. The promise land is a type of fulness we are entering into. Taking the promise land is taking all of God – it is God’s inheritance to His people. We are supposed to receive all of God.
The good news is that God has a family now and He has determined He would dispense Himself to His people. God is in love and He has given all things to the son: He is waiting for the sons to come posses all things.
2 Samuel 8:1-15
8:1 And after this it came to pass that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Methegammah out of the hand of the Philistines.
8:2 And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts.
8:3 David smote also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.
8:4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots.
8:5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.
8:6 Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
8:7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8:8 And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.
8:9 When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadadezer,
8:10 Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:
8:11 Which also king David did dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued;
8:12 Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
8:13 And David gat him a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men.
8:14 And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David’s servants. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
8:15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.
Almost all the places inhabited by the heathen in the promise land were still there up until the day of David. When David came, God said, “I have found a man who would go into war and win my battles…” David hacked all those places down and took the spoils to the Lord.
The kind of King God is raising will give every spoil of the battle to the Lord. That is the heart of David. This universe is a constitution of kingdoms. God is saying, there must be a kingdom to take over the kingdom of the world.
When you have found God to be your life, there is nothing else you would want to reserve for yourself. The heart of David is that you would not know when you are giving – the art of giving would become an organic reality.
David is always thinking, I am sure there is something more God wants. He said, “I would build God a house.” That was never in Saul’s heart. Because it was in David’s heart, God blessed him for that. Even though God told him not to build, he began to gather for Solomon to build.
I am talking about a heart that we want.
God is looking for people He can trust to go fight His battles. As I passed by a place and saw the life they were living there, I began to think of the cultures of the earth that have been hijacked. God is looking for kings who would reclaim those cultures and societies and even people…
The heart of this ministration is righteousness as the basis for our kingship. God is not reigning in a place until righteousness is being generated. You could have an earthly vision of sustainability but it could mean, it is still not in righteousness.
Babylon was a fine and organised system but it was not in righteousness, so it takes more than that. Being fine and organized is part of what it may look like on the outside but we must establish it in righteousness.
God is interested in ruling you first, that is, in saving you. God isn’t into the business of building civilizations. He is building His kingdom, His will, and righteousness is a sceptre of His kingdom.
And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins. The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
This is as a result of possessing the Seven Spirits. The order of life here has been re-engineered. This is what we expect to see when God has wrought His work. Jesus said, “Behold I make all things new.” Hallelujah.
