2 Corinthians 5:16 ‘wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.’
Jesus did not come like Moses. Everything that is external was taken away from Christ. You have to be discerning to know Christ. Until you have a revelation of Christ by the Spirit, you cannot know Christ.
If your life is all about the external, you cannot see Christ. We always expect God to come in certain ways and He always disappoints us because we are not seeing Him in the Spirit. Christ is all-glorious. The latter house is greater than the former. The latter is the House of Christ and the former is the House of Moses.
God’s desire for humanity is that we would see Christ and be conformed to His image. Our daily pursuit should be that image. If you don’t pursue Him, you won’t see Him. We shouldn’t be children tossed by every wind of doctrine.
Ephesians 4:14 ‘That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.’
